It was officially the most windy day in the history of time. At points during the day I thought we might all be blown away, but it didn’t stop us from creating some gorgeous images together.
Timm added his flare to the ceremony as he held a boombox blasting “In your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel (like John Cusack in Say Anything). The guests giggled happy tears as Lianne walked down the isle with her father. The sunlight danced in and out of the clouds during the ceremony and they exchanged custom Celtic rings.
Timm is a rocket scientist and Lianne is a graphic designer so the wedding was a beautifully thought out organic delight to the eyes. Irvine Nature Center was the background and the flowers were from one of my favorite floral designers Local Color Flowers.
Paper lanterns danced in the breeze with Timm and Lianne and they fed each other a Krispy Cream Doughnut after their cake cutting. The guys sang Bohemian Rhapsody (every word) and a purple gorrilla named Sven was the mascot of the day. Turns out he comes to all the weddings of the rocket scientists in this group. It was an awesome wedding and I felt like part of the family by the end of the night! Congrats to both of you and I hope you had a fantastic time in the Big Apple for your honeymoon!
