I love trees and silhouetted trees, but this one is probably my favorite. It is a metallic tree in the sculpture garden in DC! It was really dark after a night of ice skating and we took a walk around the garden and this was the one that everyone loved! I have a couple other creepy shots from that night, but this one stood out to me!

What’s Up Wedding Fair: Annapolis Wedding Photographer

I had a great time at my second time at the What’s Up Magazine Wedding Fair at the Double Tree in Annapolis! Melody from Historic Events and I shared a booth so that we could join our efforts and tell the importance of photography and planning! We always have a great time when we work together and the fair was no exception! It was a huge success because we have had tons of feedback from brides and vendors about our booth! Sarah from Intrigue did an AMAZING job making it look beautiful using willow branches and peacock feathers against a beautiful green background. We were really going for a comfortable, but chic look and I think she nailed it! Tony Lewis from What’s up sent me these photos of my booth! Thanks Tony! Looking forward to booking some of the fabulous brides from the fair!

Matt and Jessica: A Winter Annapolis Wedding

Their love story began at American University in the ROTC program. They have been together for the last three years and moving where the Army takes them. Jessica had her heart set on a spring wedding, but the Army had other plans for Matt. The original date was January 2nd, but Matt is being deployed even sooner then anticipated. Jessica and her mother, who is the owner of Travel Bug in Annapolis, did an amazing job rescheduling and changing everything at the last minute! This was my first Wednesday wedding ever, and I am so glad I was able to be there for such a fabulous couple! After the gorgeous ceremony at St. Annes we walked in the cold all the way to the reception to capture some awesome photos. They were total troopers and I am so glad they were willing to get a little cold for art! The Governor Calvert house is a gorgeous indoor location and Intrigue did a beautiful job with the decor. Plum purple tables with silver candelabras and chargers were accented with white flowers and the dusty miller added a soft texture and contrast to the arrangements. Thanks to Melody from Historic events of making the day go smoothly and for sending me such a great couple! Congrats to you both and thanks to Matt for his service and dedication. I know the two of you have many more adventures ahead of you and I wish you the best in your marriage!!

Miles and Melyssa: Bashert in Baltimore

Miles and Melyssa have such a wonderful story so it was an emotional day for everyone (including me)! As I watched the wedding day unfold I was reminded at how important family is and no matter how big a wedding it is always about the love the bride and groom share. The ceremony was in their new home together surrounded by their immediate family. I could see how happy their six children were to be gaining another awesome parent and how much the two of them were glad to have found each other. They met at Pazo, which is a restaurant in Fells Point Baltimore, so it was natural they would have their reception there. It is a romantic place with dark red walls, candle lit tables, and amazing food. As Miles was giving his toast he remarked on how lucky he was to have met Melyssa and a woman called out “Bashert” which in Yiddish means destiny . I agree that they were destined to be together and I am happy to have been there to witness the joining of these two families and the beginning of their lives together.

Congratulations to you all! I look forward to photographing the fabulous new family more in the future!

Rich and Lauren : Engagement Photos in Quiet Waters

Here is a sneak peak of the engagement session I did yesterday! Rich and Lauren are getting married next June in San Diego! I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session here in Annapolis and we had the most gorgeous day at Quiet waters!! It was so great to spend such a beautiful day taking photos of such a great couple! Congrats you two!! I wish I could be in San Diego with you to photograph your wedding!

Mike and Jess: Annapolis Wedding Photography

Mike and Jess was the first couple to book me for a 2009 wedding way back in October of 2008. I was so excited to finally be able to photograph their wedding! Ashley from Up Do’s for I do’s was there to make the ladies look fabulous! I am always glad to see her there because I know they will look flawless in the photographs! Jess was super creative and made all of her own flower arrangements…can you tell if they are real? Mike teared up as Jess walked down the isle and made everyone… including myself cry. The ceremony was in one of the darkest churches I have ever photographed in which was a challenge to do without flash. I loved the marble reflections of the two of them on the altar and the candlelit feel of the ceremony. Mike and Jess had tons of creative elements to their wedding. There was a fantastic cupcake display, a honeymoon apron dance, the bouquet toss and garter toss had prizes for the lucky catcher, and Jess’ mom made these fantastic chocolate covered oreos as favors!! It was so great being there for you on your wedding day! I hope your honeymoon is going swimmingly and I look forward to showing you the rest of the photos!! Congrats you two!!

Doug and Julie: E Session in Washington DC

I am in love with Doug and Julie! They are seriously a fun couple to hang out with!! They recently booked me for their wedding on April 24th in Annapolis! I am already excited about it because they were so willing to play! I can seriously say this is the first time I have had a couple pose with a giant pretzel and pose in front of a hot dog stand! They got engaged in front of the Smithsonian castle so we had to go back to get some photos there! It was a day full of water features.. fountains and reflecting pools! We had fun with all of them! We had no clue it would be so busy in Washington DC, but it was probably the largest equal rights march of the year! We battled through the masses of people and were able to get some really fun shots! Thanks you two for having a fun couple hours with me! I look forward to photographing your wedding and spending more time with you both!
