She was TOTALLY stunning as I expected and I loved shooting their wedding in Alexandria and their reception at the Sunset Ballroom in the National Harbor!

Congrats Jim and Jennifer!

These two met on e-Harmony which is definitely a beacon of hope for all the single people out there looking for love, including myself!  They are perfect for each other and I loved getting to know them before the wedding!  The night we met they were totally adorable holding hands and discussing/practicing what they thought the perfect wedding kiss would be on their wedding day. They did it perfectly by the way.

What made this wedding day different/unique?

Oscar their dog attended in style in his tux. He couldn’t help but lean out when Jennifer passed by him on the way down the aisle. Jim’s brother made the wedding cake and cupcakes which were quirky, yummy, and fun! It was their grandparent’s anniversary on the day of their wedding.Watching the two of them interact after so many years of marriage was a treat. Love really does grow over time.

Wade and Erica had TWO weddings and I had the privilege of photographing both of them! You can check out their fabulous Bahamas Wedding on the blog and this was the “official” one for the Catholic Church. Honestly I wouldn’t’ mind if ALL of my couples had two weddings!! Erica, Wade, and I have gotten to be good friends since their wedding.  I am so sad they have moved away, but I have a feeling there will be more photographic adventures with them in the future! I have been told that I can be a guest in their new Texas digs and I just might mosey on down there some day soon!

I love trees and silhouetted trees, but this one is probably my favorite. It is a metallic tree in the sculpture garden in DC!  It was really dark after a night of ice skating and we took a walk around the garden and this was the one that everyone loved!  I have a couple other creepy shots from that night, but this one stood out to me!

We always have a great time when we work together and the fair was no exception! It was a huge success because we have had tons of feedback from brides and vendors about our booth! Sarah from Intrigue did an AMAZING job making it look beautiful using willow branches and peacock feathers against a beautiful green background. We were really going for a comfortable, but chic look and I think she nailed it! Tony Lewis from What’s up sent me these photos of  my booth! Thanks Tony!   Looking forward to booking some of the fabulous brides from the fair!
