The Dimpled Photographer

"I'm not sure if I picked up the camera or the camera picked up me. Photography is a dream come true. The ability to be an artist and have a career couldn't be a more fabulous combination. I live every day with the intention of perfection. I shoot every picture with a smile and the desire to make my clients happy. I always knew that my inability to focus on one thing would be my greatest asset. The details, the moments, and the people in the world around me are my focus."

Doug and Julie: Annapolis Wedding Photography

Doug and Julie are fantastic friends who are full of laughter and love!  They met through work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and have been together for about three years.  With Doug’s sarcastic banter and Julie’s theater background we hit it off immediately . Our photographic path began when we all went back to the site of their proposal at the Smithsonian in DC for a hilarious engagement session.

The Navy Alumni House provided a beautiful outdoor ceremony location and we strolled through town to take photos on the way to the reception at the Governor Calvert House. The tables had a wine theme with custom labels( made of my engagement photos) and everyone got a Doug and Julie wine bottle opener. There was dancing, there were tears, there was laughter. The party was rocking till late in the evening as well as an after party at Middletons.

I wish you all the best with writing the rest of your love story. I am sure your fabulous Argentinean honeymoon started it off with some adventures and a lot of good wine! Why didn’t you take me with you again?  I can’t wait for you to see all the photos and to toast your beautiful wedding together!

The crazy thing is that I almost didn’t make it back for the wedding due to the insane volcano keeping all planes grounded in Europe. Julie was a seriously calm bride as I explained the natural disaster and the possibility that I might not make it back. Thank God the airports opened up on time for me to be there for the wedding!  It was even more  important to me because I would have hated missing the union of such an awesome couple. Thanks to Pete Redel for stepping in to be my replacement if the volcano had decided to really wreck my plans and for coming along as an awesome second shooter.
